And something the Amiga is still good at. I think that Matt's instructions
are amongst the best I have seen for any software product. The text is well
written and the images reinforce the text. Matt has provided links to the
various TrueType fonts, listed a number of TT fonts for users to test their
settings, and has even created a downloadable version of the tutorial. I
find it very hard to believe that "many" people in your users group would
have difficulty with Matt's instructions.

Keep in mind that Matt does state that if you do not want to bother with the
whole Metric Source thing, one could simply click on Install All in
ttfmanager and live with the results (which usually means selecting fonts
sizes that are much larger).

This whole TrueType font thread must be put into perspective.

One, we are using a freeware library, ttf.library, based on the FreeType
Project. I think that Richard Griffith - see
http://ragriffi.home.sprynet.com - has done an awesome job in bringing
TrueType fonts to the Amiga, in light of limited resources and time.

Two, TrueType fonts are a Windows based font system that is being utilized
on an Amiga. We are talking two different cultures in programming and so
forth. The ttf.library docs state that Windows and Amiga use different
approaches to fonts, sizes, etc. So again, it is awesome that we can even
use TrueType fonts on the Amiga.

Just my two cents.
