I disagree. I believe that this not the responsibility of Vaporware. Maybe
it might the reponsibility of the ttf.library author, but even then, this
is really something that the OS should do. Unfortunately, we know the
state of OS development in the Amiga. I, for one, am glad that someone
took the time to do a port of the FreeType engine.

Internet Explorer and Netscape are not doing this, by the way. The whole
engine and the fonts are part of Windows. Both browsers are just taking
advantage of a service provided by the OS.

Part of the problem is that these fonts were meant to be used to with
Windows machines. You can very easily just point TTFManager to the
directory you have the TrueType fonts, do install all and have the fonts
available. Making them look good on the other hand, is a value judgement.
Yes the procedure can be made somewhat easier if someone went and
catalogued all the fonts and provided their opinion of what looks "best"
to them. The ttf.library author might be able to somewhat work that into
his installation script. The question is, who will be that someone? You
maybe? Vaporware already has enough on their plate. I for one would
prefer they stick with Internet app development, not designing a new font
installation system.
