Apple can never seem to keep product in stock or at least deliver in a
timely manner. Every time I order something there is always a delay due
to some reason or another.
At the moment, Apple are having problems with getting the RAID cards
for XServes. They had the same problem last time I ordered an XServe.
The time before that they couldn't get enough G5's for the XServes.
Basically, the guy that does the ordering for Apple's parts needs to be
severely beaten with something big and hard.
Being in Perth doesn't really help the matter. We are just too small a
market for Apple to care. I am surprised that the Apple staff in Perth
have kept their jobs as long as they have.
(Yes, I am bitter. This particular delayed order has the very real
possibly of costing me my job.)
