Assuming you have one where you are , AND it is in working order !
Yes , they are intended to save you !
But only new houses have them unless the owners of older houses have
paid
to have one installed .
Everybody .... How long since you used the Test button on your
Safety switch ( RCD .. residual current device ) ?
