Very +1 indeed. I am constantly frustrated by the fact I get

You need to either a) subscribe to the list in question or b)
complain to the owner/moderator of the list to moderate in a more
timely fashion as I am often the one flushing the queues 2 - 3 times
per day for over 300 lists and, really, I do have better things to
do. I'd be delighted to have the people who cling so dearly to this
role actually do the job.
I'd figured that out, thanks. The alternative, plan B, which is what
John was indicating and with which I was agreeing, is that the whole
system needs a rethink so that, for example, people with CC grants (an
indication that their role extends beyond any single activity) are
automatically able to post to any list.
Or some other alternative, I'm not trying to design at this point. I
just don't want to have to subscribe to/intervene on every list on
OpenSolaris.org so that I can freely post to any list on the odd
occasion it's necessary. John has done a great job of deriving a set
of very valid requirements from the issues raised. How do we go about
getting them addressed?
