You need to either a) subscribe to the list in question or b)
complain to the owner/moderator of the list to moderate in a more

times per day for over 300 lists and, really, I do have better
things to do. I'd be delighted to have the people who cling so
dearly to this role actually do the job.
I'd figured that out, thanks. The alternative, plan B, which is what
John was indicating and with which I was agreeing, is that the whole
system needs a rethink so that, for example, people with CC grants
(an indication that their role extends beyond any single activity)
are automatically able to post to any list.
Well, if those with grants receive such special treatment, what's to
keep every other person who doesn't want to be bothered to subscribe
to suggest they get the same? Not to mention that in the current set-
up, this would be a chore to implement and maintain given that these
grants come and go with some frequency.
From what I gather, the new auth system will accomodate such requests
but, since that is in limbo at the moment given the non-ratification
of the constitution and it's not yet implemented, suggesting that you
subscribe and mark the address for non-delivery is the best I can
offer if you are unhappy with waiting for your messages to be
moderated on lists which you are not subscribed to.
