Hi Bill I don't know why my compiles are not working but that works great with or without the dtr so I have left it off. I don't know why dtr was ticked, I think it didn't work without dtr in mixw which used to be my main data program. Will have to see what i'm doing wrong with the compiling, should read more before I play. Will see if I can do 1.4 instead of 1.5 as it works. Just had a few test contacts one with split and 1 without and it works great.

Here is a link to an installer for a test version that has tracing built in: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4192709/wsjtx-1.4.0-rc3-win32-r4543-CAT-trace.exe install it over the official WSJT-X v1.4.0-rc2 Beta release (no need to un-install) and run it until the error then quit the application.
