I found this entry helpful:
<http://blogs.sun.com/timthomas/entry/solaris_cifs_in_workgroup_mode>
There is a comment in those directions about installing a SMB PAM
module:
6. Install the SMB PAM module
Add the below line to the end of /etc/pam.conf:
other password required pam_smb_passwd.so.1 nowarn
Do you know what that is?
I don't find any pkg named like that here.
pkg search -r pam|grep smb
<nada>
You might find it if you searched instead with
$ pkg search -r smb
In SXCE, at least, /usr/lib/security/pam_smb_passwd.so is
part of the SUNWsmbfsu package.
Hi
And looks like 2008.11 has it in SUNWsmbs.
