This has supposedly been fixed and you should update dhcp-client and test to
see if this solves your problem.

This problem should have been fixed in cooker post rc2. Are you in a position
to download the new dhcp-client and test?

Actually, Tex's KDE3.1 was packaged before this bug came out, which means
something was applied to the KDE sources after he packaged 3.1. I don't
believe he created

I just confirmed this doing a fresh cooker install. There is no
/etc/sysconfig/desktop file and the contents of /etc/sysconfig/autologin is
AUTOLOGIN=yes

I ran drakedm to try and correct this and after selecting mdkkdm as the login manager
a /etc/sysconfig/desktop file was created with the following entry in it.
