I have to pipe up. jeepers.

The one thing that I feel has happened to this list
over the years is that it's gone from people
*discussing* their different point of views to people
pounding down their * I HEART DETROIT TECHNO MORE THAN
YOU * hammers.

I remember when i first joined this list almost
(christ) 5yrs ago? and peopled discussed history,
records etc.I learned so much. This list was
fundamental laying the ground of my music education.
I've observed the list go from this ideology to
"Listen to me because I KNOW!" followed by two snaps
up in the air and a chickenhead twist of the neck.

Progress only comes from discussion, from listening
to different points of views, digesting, thinking and
then thinking out back again. An intellectual
breathing process if you will. We always seem to come
back to discussions about detroit's past and never
really dive into its possible future. It's the young
talent of detroit that's making it breathe and stay
alive right now and they don't get two seconds air
time on this list, IMO.Why? In my opinion Atomly has a
point, the list has an endless cylce.

Atomly is part of this list, and has been for a long
time and as so, his views should of been digested, not
attacked so personally. This discussion got way too
out of hand and way too personal *IMO*.

I am one of those people who said 'i agree with you'
off list in fear that posts that don't seem to comply
with 'a detroit event/dj/product is flawless' are
attacked. so attack me please. maybe i can end this
crack binge that i refer to as the 313 list. There are
so many different ways to look at this festival, so
many different global perspectives exist on this list.
Please keep that in mind when discussing things like
_adults_.

*burp*
as we used to say..."flame on"
