We have a bunch ~10 degrees or so.  Full duplex.  It helps if you can mount the 
non-co located ends so they can only see their other end and not the second co 
located radio.  Similar distance links work better as the issue is the slave 
ends seeing both radios.   Try turning the power down. 

At 400', I'd try turning rx gain off on the slave end and lowering its power.
