Chuck,

The success of email marketing is a valuable option. Yes, some will get caught
in SPAM. So, if a shotgun approach is acceptable in your mindset where most
gets through but not all, then you’re good. If you really feel that a couple
people that might not see it (or just not read it) because of it being email
(or caught in SPAM filters/rejected) would make up for the overall postage
cost, then do printed materials as well.

The core of the target market is here, but I have a bunch of new stuff that the
cell phone companies could use. As well as traffic cams, GPS antennas etc etc.
I have a bunch of new tower steel stuff.

Just hate to spend postage if spam is still somehow viable.

IME Gmail would catch it as spam. All of them mass messages have been caught
in the last 6 months. I've gone through my spam box to find them and marked
them as not spam, but have not seen it change the results.

Your target market is here, right? Why not just a bunch of neat pictures with
applications. I'm sure there are some other WISPs that have used your products
that I have never thought of. If there is another place for me to use an MTOW,
I'd have to buy more.

I spend some time each day trying to figure out how to get my products marketed.
Have a nice new shiny paper catalog just about done and will be mailing it to
those interested.

My question is -----

Is spam dead? I have several nice lists of people (all of you included). If I
sent a brief note to several thousand people saying something like:

Dear (Spam Target):

Thanks for attending Animal Farm.Wispapalloza/ etc etc. I have a new catalog
(available here url pdf etc).

Would you like to receive a real one in the mail?

With all my best wishes (over the top complementary closing etc).

Chuck

Would that offend?
Would that get scraped off by gmail etc?
Is there a better way?
