You know, the first 6 months a new president is in the chair, they learn a crap ton of new and sensitive stuff that forces them to move away from the extreme positions they had during the campaign. Why is Gitmo still open, why do we have boots on the ground in (pick the location). Why would a president from the party of doves, peace, love and flower power launch more drone strikes than all other presidents in history? The job changes them. Every president leaves a long list of unfulfilled campaign promises. Any promise a presidential candidate makes during a campaign is meaningless. It is like a 6 year old saying that they are going to be when they grow up.
