The 450i will power on with any polarity. So you can put + on 4&5 and - and
7&8 and it will still power on...However, for sync to be received, 4&5
needs to be return, and 7&8 needs to be power.

If you are powering on all 4 pairs, you still need to honor this
polarization on 4&5 and 7&8 for sync to be able to be received.   You can
put either polarity on 1&2 and on 3&6.
