to get to the degree of autonomy you reference I think it will take that
long both due to limitations within our scopes and the backlash. Look at
embracing technology in the classroom, it takes new generation to move
forward, people still fight over whether a calculator should be allowed in.
Its not until 2nd or 3rd adult generations get in positions of authority
that changes are fully embraced.

>> In the next 20 years (maybe less), say goodbye to:

>> Most coal miners (alternative energy increases)
A. Alternat energy platforms havent even become "sustainable" the carbon
footprint on implementation is too great (Currently) But given time it will
get there
B. JOBS JOBS JOBS. we are still in current generations reliant on coal
mining. it will take 2nd or 3rd generations living and growing up in a time
where there wasnt a dependence, that alone is at least 50 years out.

all the targets depend on global proliferation of the technology as well.
If it werent available, or embraced, we would go to war constantly.

Not being a negative nancy here, just a realist. dreamers like you are part
of what forces progress and efficiency.

>> Most OTR truckers (will need them for the last few miles, most likely)
A. The tech to replace this is not there yet. What do you see replacing it.
Trump has already stated huge infrastructure improvements including new
rail line. I think if the tech gets there for flight propulsion in and
affordable and sustainable format that would be the greatest solution, much
less maintenance oon air than steel track.
B. JOBS JOBS JOBS... se above

>> Most taxi drivers
A. I can see in 20 years this becoming dwindling (I assime you include all
single modal low occupancy transport, including uber, etc) but the
autonomous vehicle is just recently more than a glint in its daddies eye.
B. JOBS JOBS JOBS.... see above

>> Most cattle ranchers (there will still be some of course)
A. the aesthetic component just isnt moving fast, steak being perfect, its
a miracle meat and wholey dependent on how its prepared, lab cultures I
just can see getting that level in this next 30-50 years, though I think
this will be what replaces foodstamps first.
B. JOBS JOBS JOBS.... see above

>> Quite a few farmers (less need for crops)
A. One word... POT. I could see farmers production moved into a factory
environment, fairly aoutomated, hydroponics is already there, sunlight is
the key component to factory based farming in a huge scale. I CAN see this
happening in 20 years
B. See B above

>> Most factory jobs (except for programmers, robiticists, skilled
>> machinists, engineers, etc)
A. They have been saying this same thing since Henry Ford. There will be a
decline, as there always is, when robotics entered the factory it was said
they were done. No way we get that advanced in 20 years, but the labor need
pr produced unit for factories will continue the steady decline its always
seen.
B... do I need to say it

If you only see yourself as part of the team but you don't see your team as
part of yourself you have already failed as part of the team.
