Same with me, for years and years. I'm still using Cakewalk Pro Audio 9
(as of 1999) on win98se, and as soon as I find a way to bring this DB50XG
to Linux, that windoze machine will be dismantled, if that matters.

I already have all the components and PCB to make it standalone (i.e.
without a soundcard nor a computer), as suggested once on some Elektor
article. It's only a matter of time to make it a mini-rack, the way it
really deserves on my homestudio :)

Anyway, I'm still very interested in this onboard waveblaster connector
issue. Namely because yesterday I've found a Terratec SiXPack 5.1+ for
just 20EUR (FYI the PCB for the standalone project costed me quite the
double).

If there's any hope whatsoever, that this technical info is available
somewhere and found useful for this effort, I can also help in this task
as I have some programming skills of my own. I surely prefer the keyboard
approach than getting my hands dirty on a soldering iron :)

So, have you any pointers on where to look? Is it worth buying that
Terratec card and engage in improving the snd-cs46xx ALSA driver?

Please let me know if this makes any sense.

Cheers.
