I put t back in and i got sound again and yes, i'm pretty sure the sounds i hear are the ones from the db50xg [i checked some more GM programs like acoustic bass, they sound very distinct].. So basically the waveblaster connector on my cs46xx works. I can't give any guaranteed though that this will work for other cs46xx based cards, too.. Also i haven't checked yet, if the real external out is disabled when a db is on the card [sinc i have nothing external connected to the card] Flo P.S.: the next problem would be to get xg support into a patch editor. I wrote an email to the jsynthlib guys, but never got an answer.. i also haven't managed to get XGedit95 or whatwasitcalled installed in wine.. I don't even know if it would be any use, because then we also need to make wine talk to the alsa midi driver and i heard wine's alsa support suxxorz ;) -- http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/florianschmidt.htm http://www.arted.biz/mista.tapas ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
