While I didn't mind getting the SF tracker messages on the mailing list, I winced when folks replied to the list, rather than to the tracker, only because I knew that meant the person who initiated the request through the tracker wasn't necessarily going to see the response. Splitting those messages off into another list that doesn't accept replies is a good thing, I think.
