People believe what they want to believe and I don't want anyone on the list to take this the wrong way but I really don't give a rat's ass about the situation. It is the methodology that upsets me. The Communications Act of 1996 made it impossible for the FCC to make any motions towards a broadcaster regarding program content and all they have left is soemthing technical. We will have to wait and see what the Zoning Board does. There are rules that the FCC follows and they never vary. When you violate one or more of their rules they fine you for it period. The station did not commit any violations or else they would have been fined or at least given a warning. No such thing here and why is that? They walk in, turn the transmitter off, and say you don't have a license to broadcast from Bangs Ave. Gee that is what the license says and if this was indeed true why no fine? Why no paperwork on the incident at all? If AP rejects their variance, and for the life of me I can't see why, they merely have to move the transmitter across the street to Neptune. Still licensed to AP and listeners there will be none the wiser.

It's not that you are wrong - you might be. Who knows? It's that you have made several leaps in logic based on what you believe rather than any hard facts. Let's assume that you are right, the FCC is not acting as they normally do. That's really where any factual argument you have made appears to stop. If you think someone has exerted undue influence - please bring facts. I'm not defending anyone nor am I wearing rose colored glasses. Just looking for some sort of facts to support the rather specific accusations you have made. --------------------------------- Get your own web address. Have a HUGE year through Yahoo!
