I'll spare the group from a never ending argument with you about global
warming,
because you've already made up your mind by proclaiming that it's natural, and
not man
made.
I totally disagree with you. If anything, i'd say it's a combination of nature
and the actions
of civilization...natural processes accelerated by pollution that began with
the industrial
revolution.
I've studied it too, and not just since it became a political issue.
I honestly feel sorry for you, although you will never appreciate why.
You're the guy who thinks that dogs are merely cute, and that all animals are
inferior
lifeforms to humans, and that god created us all. I wonder if you consoled Dan
Jacobson
when he lost his dog by saying that "he was such a cute dog" ?
Not long ago, before he flip flopped on the global warming issue, GW Monkeeface
Bush
stated that he was hesitant to take stronger action on global warming the way
most of the
rest of the world was doing because it would "hurt the economy"
Of course, Bush isn't smart enough to realize when he says "the economy" that
he actual
lacks the ability to think into the future. He's talking about the economy of
his lifetime. So,
for him, it's better off to continue to kill the planet while he's still alive
rather then do
something to help preserve life in the future. Then, GW flipflops and nodody
notices,
probably because the media is controlled not by the news itself, but by the
news makers.
So Tommy, go ahead and throw caution to the wind. Nothing is going to happen.
We'll all
be fine.
Meanwhile, I'm going to continue to be outspoken about this issue, and prepare
for the
possible effects in my lifetime.
So, let's say 30 or 40 years from now, and we are both still alive, and a
Katrina like event
hits our area (which is traced to global shifts in climate and water
temperatures)....
I'll be the guy with the boat helping people, and you'll be the guy standing on
his roof
writing "HELP" with red spray paint. See you then. And no, I won't way "I told
you so"
