While I agree with your idea in the general sense - but don't we come back to the same problem: ie too many affiliations. Now, I think there are very good leadership qualities/people in all the existing organizations. Some people I know, of course, have joined all the relevant ones - I guess to keep everyone happy, and to get a sense of "belonging ".

My question again is: What is the overall benefit of joining one organization as opposed to another.
I am sure there are answers out there - I don't seem to have one though.



The overall problem I would venture is that with a number of organizations, wouldn't we be wasting our resources in chasing similar pursuits. At the moment, each organization knowingly or unknowingly may be upstaging another in these goals.


If the concept of a single organization is utopian - then I guess, the choice to the consumer may be to join one that one can closely identify. Thats the only choice left I guess.

and non-confrontation.

I don't agree with the idea of  non-solution by non-participation.
Participate and throw out those who don't want to work together if that
is your goal.
