I just checked the contexts of these few effects. For these, it will be probably always be "auf" instead of "bis" just as Peter suggested. For other occurrences it might stay at "bis". E.g. if you would select a range it will be "bis" (this as combined with "from/von" is the more common use case in German language), if you would change something to another value it will be "auf" (but could also be "zu"). When checking these I also noted that there are already i18n-hints on some of these "to"s but not all of them. I dont know If I did the translation and missed these or if they were added later. Having a more complete sentence instead of two single words might have helped there also.
Having a quick look at the duplicates.txt file, most of them look uncritical to me, but it does not have to be true for all other languages. Even if a "Yes" or "Error" string will probably always translated the same, there might to be words like "Interfaces" and others which trouble translators if used multiple times. Checking all these contexts properly takes some time. Therefore, my suggestion would be, to include all these strings separately in the PO file. Even if the majority of these new strings will always be translated the same, I think it will be worth it, to give translators greater freedom to find the correct translations where needed. Would this enlarge the scope of the PO file by significant means? Joachim Am Do., 28.
