Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Personally if I were living in the States or even neighbouring Jamaica, I'd be more qeen on wearing a mask. But as it stands right now, I don't think its possible to get the virus here, as the gov said we have no active cases, and our borders are closed. Community spread also isn't really a thing, because since the first guy who came in from Switzerland, contact tracing was done, and the guy and his family had to self-isolate with supervision. Personally I think our government is still overdoing it, however if you walk through San Fernando, or Separia for example, you will see vertually zero people wearing their masks. In Separia to an extent why folks would wear a mask, because there are a lot of markets down there, and neighbouring Penal and Debe are hotspots for congrigation, because of their famous doubles, but in S'ando where we have relatively wide pavements, people walk spread out, i don't see the gist. I'd quicker wear my mask like when I enter a store. And its not because I have to, I've actually become acustom to doing that. I'm still confused as to our Health Minister babbling about a second wave, and second wave, and adadadadadadaddadah. But I'm wondering how can we have a second wave, if according to your numbers nobody has the virus, and the borders are closed?

That being said though, we actually do have a chance of infection. Our neighbour to the south, Venezuela. Everyday her people leaves, and illegally comes into Trinidad, via fishing towns in the south west, which is under populated. It's already happened. The coast guard captured a Venie boat coming in and 2 of the people on the boat were indeed infected, so that's our risk there.

As for blaming the virus for deaths? I believe that could be a factor down here as all of the people who died were old folks in their late 70's going upward. And most of them had other problems like diabeties and sugar. So that's still a mistery.
