And agreed about removing money not really seeming like a realistic proposal. As long as there are going to be exchanges between people, money is going to be a convenient way of facilitating that exchange. Like CAE says, whatever you're going to replace it with is basically going to be the same principle as money under a different name. I do agree that everyone having their needs met instead of having to compete over limited resources would definitely decrease many of the issues we have. One of the most commonly mentioned explanations for the cause of the differences in behaviour between chimps and bonobos is that bonobos live in an environment where food is abundant, so they have less of a need to compete. I have no idea how well-supported that idea is, but regardless it does make sense, after all violence is costly and would be disadvantageous if there was a better way of gaining resources. We are probably slowly moving in that direction, but we definitely are nowhere near the ideal kind of scenario Jayde described yet. So any political system should deal with the realities of the present, rather than try to optimise for the desired future.
