Rankin of Wavelength Audio,ltd. has a few interesting "observations"
that would get your juices flowing. As you are probably aware, he and
his team have designed and patented a state of the art asynchronous USB
protocol for their DACs. 

Gordon admits, quite emphatically, that he has heard a "difference" in
USB cables even in asynchronous USB. How can this be? I believe that he
does hear a difference.

If I understand asynchronous USB correctly, there should not be an
audible difference between cables. But there is. Hence you can spend in
upwards of $5 for a 2.5m USB cable. I'm not making this up! 

Even after 7 pages this discussion is not going to end. The axiom
"everything makes a difference" lives on!
