There are to few digital actives out there I see the meridian design as a "proof of concept design" but it requires their own processors to make it go as a complete systems the obvious lack of a standard digital speaker interface. The point with digital actives is to never let the signal be analog untill it's time to power the driver . But speakers is so much room acoustics and taste so one must try them. And all speakers bring their own house sound with them ? There is no transparent speakers . If they where a standard "digital speaker link" that could interface with typical HT controllers etc, where volume and tone controlls is handled by the speakers etc. And more brands would offer it , I would be very happy :) Analog actives broadens the choices a bit, but to many uses PWM amps :-( urgh (there is an audiophile fringe that loves "digital" amps, but it's only another kind of severe coloration as usual, well designed class AB amp thankyou.) -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 MeridianG98DH and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe' Primare and Dynadio speakers, Contour 4 Contour Center, and Contour 1.3SE rear ch.
