The IR should stay on, at least mine does, but yes, you need to run the display command again to turn it back on, as well as the tt -k command if you were using that. @ Klaus, what do you mean when you say rebooting the system after the tt -k command returns the toolbox to it's "normal" state? It seems to me vol lock and ir are not returned to their 'normal default' if they have been set to on. I prefer they stay as is and wish the screen did the same, but your statement seems to need clarifying or modifying.
