Away3D 4.0 will be Molehill compatible. That means that you can
continue to use Away3D much like you have always done, but benefit
from the performance increases (and new features) that Molehill gives
us. Away3D 4.0 is written from scratch though, so it incorporates a
lot of the knowledge that we have gained over the years developing
maintaining the Away3D codebase. Away4 will be (much) faster, better,
more consistent across the API, have better workflows and more
features, and did I mention that it will perform better? Just wait. :)

Away3D is not going away (no pun intended.) We are just getting
started. ;)
