The first thing I would do is see how much RAM you have. Windows 7 needs 3 or 4 gigs of Ram to run properly. If you can upgrade it may make more sense cost wise to just get a new lap top. A new lap top will have the Ram and Windows 7 and most likely have a larger hard drive.
