Kalani, Thank you SO much! Your translation is very clear. And yes, he is record #73. I find it interesting that his godmother (who I suspect my be his wet nurse?) is from a different parish. I wonder if that's just because she the closest person available. I doubt I'll ever really know.
I'm hoping to convince my brother to do the DNA test for the male line. If he does and we get some matches, it could provide some clues to my grandfather's ancestry.
