Atlantis ticking up-date

I switched pedals and the ticking stopped.
Thanks to all for your suggestions.
Now to tighten up the Shimano PDM324 pedals.
I got them early last year when I built up the bike.
I have already tried removing the cage from the body but the recessed
screws that take a hex head would not budge.
Any suggestions?
I guess it is time for a new post.
