I've been having a similar problem on my Romulus I went through the whole rigamarole.
Removed and the cranks, tightened the BB, tightened the chainring bolts, re-installed the cranks. Still it clicked. More through whimsy than rational trouble shooting, I even installed a spare wheel. Still it clicked. Finally, last night I installed a different pedal. NO Clicks! The pedals are Shimano PD-A520's and I think the clicking is from the SPD adjuster mechanisim. I hope to figure that out today. -JimD On Sep 5, 2008, at 4:59 AM, tdusky wrote: > > Further up-date > After carefully examining the pedals they seemed fine, so I re- > installed them. > Clicking was gone!? > Previously I changed the BB back to the original Shamino and swapped > pedals to stop the clicking. > So it had something the installation of the BB and cranks. > thanks again for your suggestions > Tom > > On Sep 2, 8:26 pm, tdusky <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> Atlantis ticking up-date >> >> I switched pedals and the ticking stopped. >> Thanks to all for your suggestions. >> Now to tighten up the Shimano PDM324 pedals. >> I got them early last year when I built up the bike. >> I have already tried removing the cage from the body but the recessed >> screws that take a hex head would not budge. >> Any suggestions? >> I guess it is time for a new post. >> Tom Dusky >> running silent in Huntington Woods MI >> >> On Sep 2, 6:25 pm, "Doug Peterson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >>> Left and right pedals are not interchangeable.
