Greetings: Tiny was at the wetland this evening so that a couple of people
could enjoy the sights. The Marsh Wren are still very vocal, Red-Wings are
still
massing in the hundreds (if not more), a Greater Yellowlegs was being harassed
by a few Lesser Yellowlegs. A couple of Virginia Rails could be seen BUT with
a lot of
difficulty. A Blue-winged Teal and many, many Green-winged Teal and a few
Mallards
were also present.

The highlight was a most beautiful Northern Parula Warbler along with quite a
few
Yellow-rumped Warblers. I, for one, have been waiting to see the Northern
Parula
since last May at Presqu'ile Provincial Park. There was also a "possible"
Tennessee
Warbler (but warblers being warblers it did not sit still long enough for Roger
Bird to get
a better look at it).

Once again a "WOW" from the Brighton Constructed Wetland.

Maureen

The wetland is located 7.2 kilometres from exit 509 and Highway 30 eastbound
on Highway 401. Just follow the road right through town. The wetland is
located
on the south/east corner of County Road 64.
