Hello Gabe. If Tom was to say how long of a delay then for what ever
reason he cannot pull things together by that day then people would be
upset all over again. He did also say that it's not just a delay in
time between tracks but that it is also demanding on the hardware. His
rewrite will deal with this easing the load. If you want something quick
then get what is out now? If you can be patient since it will not kill
you then be patient but don't ask for exact release dates. It will be
out when it is out.
Also, he did clearly say that the current engine is not usable by a
totally blind person and since James North is sighted and was the
original developer it only makes sense that the engine itself is
graphical in nature. I for one do not feel this was deceitful but rather
an oversight.

May those that love us love us; and those that don't love us, may
God turn their hearts; and if he doesn't turn their hearts, may
he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping.
