I have a cousin who loves computer programming graduated with honors from K
State. I've been telling him to start doing stuff for the blind....when we
used to hang out he'd describe sighted video games like Ultima or Final
Fantasy or Warcraft or Doom. I had so much fun sort of being a back seat
player and wished there were games accessable to me so I could take command.
I think sighted people can't visualize the types of games possible for blind
people or the breth and range of game play. If your programs were seen by
the gaming world and gotten press...there could be a revolutionary turn to
more audio based gaming. Plus all the new gaming systems seem to just have
better and better graphics and I know some sighted folks wondering, really
what's next? My friend Kevin said he'd like a more audio experience 'cause
he graphics have gotten as good as they might and there needs to be more
innovations and different stuff worked on for more challenges.
Anyway, let the world know at this convention. You will be doing a service
for us all.
