I echo Howard's request. Anyone have two? not in use? Howard, I did purchase a raised and marked in print and brailed yard stick from maxiades. Also, I think it is fairly easy to remove that rigid ruler from the case of the tape measure, but then you only have the every 6 inch measurements. Is that thing 25 foot? I don't think so. Many years ago, I had a Lufkin 6 foot tape measure that I bought from American Foundation for the Blind. In fact, I had two of them and they were wonderful. That was back in the sixties and seventies. I don't usually need to measure more than 6 feet. But they got broken and/or lost. Does anyone know about the availability of such a device now-a-days? If there is nothing, I will be forced to buy the 25 footer. But just don't like that extension on the case. My measuring (of less than 6 feet) need not be that accurate. Help?
