And the fix you need is Duct tape.  Don't settle for anything less than the 
real brand name though.  That stuff works in NASCAR when they rip a big hole in 
the fender and they have winds going over them of 200 MPH and beyond.

  Well if we're going to talk about dumb things. Yesterday, I stupidly 
  set my leafblower down on top of the bin I keep it stored in. I 
  started the mower to square away the leaves I just blew into a pile 
  and I didn't realize the damned blower fell over and into the path of 
  the mower. Well I heard this nice cracking and crunching noise and 
  then decided maybe that wasn't a stick. So, needless to say the blower 
  is damaged in such a way it won't be blowing leaves or anything else 
  with a big hole in its housing. I guess the only good thing is that 
  first I didn't hit the fuel tank, that might have been interesting and 
  secondly maybe I will finally find just a blower unit that is lighter 
  and a little less nosy. Got to have gas here cause dragging cords 
  around isn't an option. In the end it was pretty impressive what that 
  mower did, but shows how cheap that plastic housing is after all.
