Hello,
When they take all of your information down in the beginning they
will ask
you for an email address.
When the unit is ready to ship back, once it has gone to UPs they
will send
you a email telling you it has been shipped with the tracking
number.
this is something that Humanware has set up with UPs it is not
something
that Humanware does. A lot of companies are going to this, but
it is not
the company that does it they set it up with UPs to send you the
tracking
number once it has been shipped.
I hope this helps,
Robert

Hi Robert and List:
Robert, there's just one thing I'd like to know, and I'm sure
I'm not alone! How did you work it to get HumanWare to email you
when your unit was shipped back? How did you get them to send
you
a tracking number? It seems that you are the exception to the
rule!!
  Cheers!!

Hello All,
the suggestion of receiving email notification when your unit is
being
shipped is already being done.
I have received emails with tracking numbers when I transplanted.
I have
also received emails with tracking numbers when I received my
unit back in
January.
Now, the problem I have and would love to see a fix to this.
when your unit
is sent in for repairs, it seems as if Humanware staff think that
you are
automatically going to have the work done so they go ahead with
repairing
the unit.
It would really be nice if they would call you and say the unit
needs a new
mother board which will cost $963 plus tax do you want to wait or
shall we
go ahead with the work?
If someone doesn't have the money or a credit card to do the
purchse with,
and Humanware procedes with the work then they are forced to pay
the cost of
a new mother board or whatever is in need of fixing.
It seems to me that it would be nice to have a courtesy call
saying what the
work on the unit is going to be and a proximate cost of it as
well as
receiving a confirmation that the user wants the work done.
thanks for reading.
Regards,
Robert

Hi,
Great idea, Ray. I'm going to suggest this to Humanware as
well.

Hi All:

Another suggestion for HW. Some places such as Dell Computer
send you
an e-mail when your unit ships. I'd like to see HW send an
e-mail when
the BN or VN you've sent for repair is shipped back to you with
the UPS
Tracking Number in it. That way, you can track the package,
have a
pretty good idea when it will get to you and make any
arrangements you
have to such as asking neighbors or others to sign for it. I
know I
would find this useful since I live in a condo and often, UPS
comes when
I am not here.

Thanks,
