We have been asking for better Word support since 2002,. It has not
happened yet, so don't hold your breath. Drives me crazy all the things I
have to do to get a Word document from work onto the Braille note in some
form I cam read.

And, it is something that should be addressed ASAP. I often exchange data
between my Braillenote and a PC, and I often travel so it is a good thing to
be able to read materials that I have prepared in order to train
individuals.

My theory is that, for whatever reason, Word files cause a
problem when the bn tries to put the file in its ram (when you
open a file and modify it, you are viewing/editing a copy in ram,
not the copy on the storage device) back onto the storage device
to overwrite the old copy with your new one, it encountous an
error when it hits either a language tag or format marker; it
always seems to cut off text at one of these points. It is
something in the software that I thought was fixed, but I guess
not.

Have a great day,
Alex
