Shoe menders! Every citizen over 18 has a right to vote - it's nothing to do with whether you happen to pay CT. If we lived with Graeme and Cathy, they wouldn't pay any more CT, but we'd still be eligible to vote. It's not a poll tax, it's a householders tax. Elanor had a query from the LA about the fact that she claims the single householders allowance but shows us on her electoral return. She rang the council and was told that was fine, she just had to put it in writing. One way or another I've paid a he** of a lot of tax in my life, and still do, don't tell me I'm not eligible to vote!
