John,

Floating Nelco Lamp .... for $ 2.00 Plus shipping....
Ebay Item # 320102649234

Buy 3 or 4 of them.. (he says he has 100 of them).... Replace batteries with
the Cheap kind..
Or get one of those 4 "D" cell adaptors... then you can use either Alkaline or
Rechargeable...

There are similar kinds for a bit more money.. and probably better built..
Such as the Coleman camp lamp (which uses 4 "D" cells) On ebay for about $ 13.00

There are a lot of High Intensity lamps out there too.. Rechargeable, Lots of
light, High current (like 100 watts), Low battery life..
Some run around 15-20 bucks...
example The "CYCLOPS" 6 million Candle ..available at Cabela's for around
$20...

  List

I am venturing out with a group for some night sailing this weekend. Knowing
that I will probably need some light to spot crab pots, light up sails, etc. I
am interested in knowing what you are using for those times you need a hand
held bright light. I have the typical flashlights. Not really interested in
spending a lot for such a device. Any information would be appreciated.
