Hi Tom, I bought a Lowrance iFinder H2O C last spring and love it.  Great 
clear  display, very user friendly-once I actually read the book, lots of 
features that I actually use.  Main drawback is battery consumption but I keep 
a mitt full of rechargables around and it is fine.  I used it in the Canadian 
Gulf Islands this past summer and use it regularly for our "round the buoys" 
races in the winter.  Must admit I was a bit taken aback by the price,  about 
$600 Canadian with the charts, but I got a pretty good deal from my mainsheet 
trimmer -- who also happens to be the manager of a local marine supply store
