Hold on and back up a couple. I am actually completely OK with gay marriage. Or with civil unions if they also apply to traditional civil (hetero) unions.
One rule for all. Fair is Fair. It doesn't matter if I don't like it. It doesn't matter if I believe it is morally wrong. It just really isn't any of my business. I was just pointing out that what I took from your argument (they were born that way) was not a very good reason after all. Since it may be that a lot of people are born with a lot of things we may want to continue to discriminate against. I think the argument that "Who gives a crap" and "How does it actually, really affect you" are much more useful.
