Oh, well in that case usually they call the school and inquire about using 
the facilities, I think they would have to pay. I don't know for sure on that.

I don't know for sure. I think the group would have to pay for the security 
guards in that case. In Lexington there are plenty of basketball facilities 
to use, but I see your example. The YMCA , KBA (Kentucky Basketball 
Association) and many more have Gyms where a number of basketball games are 
held.

That is exactly how the school sees it. Students on school grounds must be 
supervised. If they are not and something goes wrong the school could be 
held liable, if a fight should break out the kids could beat each other to 
death before anybody could stop it.

The school doesn't sponsor much, they will sponsor things like newspaper, 
drama club, etc, but these are also classes that you can take and earn 
credit. Even then the school didn't pay for the paper, we had to sell adds, 
and sell the paper.
