Virginia does, it's the only reason that you need a permit to carry. Other
wise you can walk into a store and be out in 20 minutes with a Glock.

No training, no safety education, only a cursory background check.

Tech is a no carry campus, it needs to stay that way. 

Like everyone that assumes that guns solve problems, you assume that a
person in that situation is rational, they're not.

I don't agree.  If 30 students pulled guns and fired at the guy coming
through the door 30 lives may have been saved.  I'm not sure if VA has
conceal-n-carry, or if VT allows them, but if not they should.

I'd much rather have 30 armed law abiding citizens that have weapons
training in my class when a shooter comes in than 30 unarmed students.
