It's interesting that leftie/rightie person always thinks they watch/read
the truth.  Further the argument goes, they are the only ones who realize
the rest of "the media" is leftie/rightie biased and the rest of us dopes
are too stupid to realize it.

The reality is, of course, that people in general listen and watch "the
media" that most tickles their fancy.  In other words, they are
self-influencing and seek out more of what they already believe and reject
that which they don't.

So it really doesn't matter who owns what.  All following the money would
tell me is who is really good at monetizing their content model.

Ms. Huffington, for example, is clearly excellent at it.
