yeah, I will agree with you there, and it's a heck of a lot easier if you
live in the sticks fifty feet from a creek than if you live in an inner
city where you have to worry about them getting shot, I say, as someone who
has done both. But there are still parks. Swimming pools. Something. There
are other factors though, that are harder for parents to control and easier
for a government to address, like standards for school lunches and
playground time during the school day. I actually kind of approve of laws
about happy meal toys. This may seem like micromanagement, but it really is
a factor in kid requests for McD's. And before someone talks about
parenting, yes, of course the parent can say no. But it just makes the
whole fight a little more weighted to bad choices.

The Children, that's a different story. The parents need to fight the
