As the mom of a newish baby, I totally respect your opinion. Being a parent
is a hell of a lot of work, in addition to all the good stuff that comes
with it. If someone doesn't want to do it, they shouldn't do it. It's as
simple as that. My sister is in your camp, and I would fear for any child
she would unwittingly bring into this world. ;) (She's the one that
considers a fetus a parasite.)
So, good for the two of you for making a decision that's right for you.
