Power will be a mix of DC generator/battery (while engine(s) running) 
and solar/wind/storage  batteries.  12V will be nominal - I could go to 
24 or 48 volts, but that would be more expensive, I think.  I'm thinking 
mostly COTS parts for both power and network infrastructure, so I don't 
want to get too far out in the weeds on things like supply voltages, 
environmental considerations, and so on.  Nothing to delicate or picky, 
I guess would be a good description.  Cost is a factor, but not as 
important as functionality and specs.
