I was at the vet by 11:30. He is convinced it is a liver shunt but wants to do a bile acid test to make sure. Poor boy has done nothing but sleep since his second seizure. They want him on science diet L/D and lactulose and an antibiotic until I can get the bile acid test done. He hasn't had any more seizures yet today, and I am praying that this was just an isolated incident and he does not have a liver shunt. Poor thing is just exhausted. He is also acting like he is having trouble swallowing a little. the vet did say he noticed a narrowing of the trachea, but he never had any trouble with it before...I am wondering if it could be swollen from the vomiting and the seizure? Please say a prayer for my little guy. I hope everything goes ok...it has been a tough day. Well about 15 minutes ago hehad a seizure. It scared the daylights out of me. He is sleeping peacefully and I am still shaking. He is 10 months old today and has never had a seizure before.
